How to Clean Your Automobile

Many of us who own an automobile wonder how to wash your automobile properly without harming the paint of the automobile. I am writing this article as a way to help people who are confused about cleaning and washing of automobile.

Starting off I would like to demonstrate cleaning of bike. First of all collect all the basic things needed to clean your automobile, like:

1. Your automobile (You forgot that? )

2. Mild Shampoo (I am using clinic plus shampoo.)

3. a piece of Sponge (not scrotch brite)

4. Bucket full of water: D

5. A clean piece of cloth (to apply the wax)

6. Automobile wax.

So let’s start now, First of all take your bike outside from your garage to the place you want it to be cleaned I mean to say that you don’t want to mess up your garage right? Then wash it with water only it will be better if you warm up the water to 30-35 degree Celsius. The application of (warm) water will help in loosening of the dirt and kill all the bacteria’s . And after that take a small bucket and pour a sachet or 7-10 ml of shampoo in 200ml of water and use the sponge and dip it into the bucket containing shampoo water and apply it on your automobile in a circular manner like you brush you tooth and where there is nagging stains don’t rub it with anything hard as it may leave scratch on your automobile, just use hot water (not boiling water) and apply on it for sometime the satin will go, and don’t let the washed part get dry as it will lead to more hassle for you. Divide you automobile into slabs and after cleaning it immediately clean it with water and move to the next section/part of your automobile. And after you have cleaned your whole automobile then wash the whole automobile with water and let it dry. And after the water has vaporised then take a clean cotton cloth to apply automobile wax to enhance the shine of your automobile.

Now I am using Pidilite bike wax which cost me Rs 30 or 0.7 $ .Moving on apply the wax on your automobile on the bike on the exposed parts and after that rub the wax of the body of the automobile with the cotton cloth in a circular manner and let it dry for 15-20 mins and after that take another clean cotton cloth and polish of the applied wax in the same circular manner and now you will get a shine that your automobile had when it had been rolled out of factory.

Some precautions:

1. I didn’t use detergent like rin, tide because they are detergent and I used shampoo which is a mild soap and soft on paint of the automobile, and won’t harm the paint of the automobile.

2. Never give your automobile to someone else for cleaning, because you never know what they apply, it may shine after giving them but on a long run its paint going to ruin, Do you want that? If you love your automobile then clean it by yourself.

3. Dont wash the automobile if the engine is still warm. I.e. it has been ridden and the engine is warm and application of water on the hot metal parts will definitely ruin the machines longevity.

4. Never clean your automobile in a hurry, take your time because you surely love your automobile and don’t want to make it look like a make-up disaster!

5. The sponge should be pre-cleaned i.e. it should not have any dust particles in it as it may result in scratches while you rub it on your automobile.
